So why exactly have I been so distracted from Freespace (And AoB) for the past year? I've been playing a game called Darkspace (Think Freespace + MMO + More Depth) Might have been a Darkspace thread here about a year or more ago. (Its downloadable...YAY!)

I want to see some more players from HLP in Darkspace. I think me and Ashrak are the only ones that play the game from HLP (DragonClaw too, but he doesnt count)

Buy?  Subscribe?  Hell no, I just quit playing Eath & Beyond tonight because i'd have to pay $14.99 tomorrow night.  I'll be damned before I pay for a less fun game with poorer(sp?) graphics.  And I could care less about the "7 days free with proof of purchase" ploy they're using, I had 2 weeks with E&B.

So, in short, No.

Subscription $9.99 a month...actually its alot cheaper to buy the game from EB for 4 bucks and use the coupon to get a free month :)

You CAN play for free, as a demo user on the newbie server though. This game is better than E&B or EvE...

Played it, thinked it sucked, put it on the growing list of MMORPGs that are awful.

Have you played E&B or EVE? EVE sucks, but I don't think Darkspace can beat it.

darkspace is better then eve + EB trust me played em both though the graphix lack perfection there is virtually no lag....

past 2 weeks that were free its back to 6 players online now.... oh and virtu please dont do any of that bull**** darkspace propaganda here.....the patch witch was suposed to be done a year ago is still NOT done 99% players currently dont play the game so its quite pointless.

Three immediate turn offs in a game for me:
1. Massively Multiplayer whatever
2. Network only
3. Subscriptions

you suck ..... your flying a shell i presume? or a drainer and using camera on some dumb minelayer frig.

No, I was _using_ a minelayer frigate. You can mod it with all AM torps you know. Besides, you can't fit pulse beams on a shell/or any kluth ship for that matter.
