I'm awful at Quake multiplayer. Which is odd since I'm pretty good at Unreal Tourney...

It is very brown, isn't it? I always wondered what the inspiration for that was.

All this talk of Quake has reminded me that I've had my cousin's Q3 for over a year, and I don't think he knows.

what's the story of you two posting in the same threads discussing with each other with only minutes between in any case?

I never got to play it cause I didn't have a PC at the time but did anyone ever play the Capture the Chicken mod for Quake II?

I ask cause I cracked up every time I saw screenshots of it :D

Back in the day when I had to pay local call charges, I had a blast playing CTC.

The original quake hands down is still my favourite multiplayer game by far. Half-Life classic makes me cry at the sheer beauty of it.

Too bad Quake 2 doesn't work on this computer in OpenGL mode (no idea why, I never looked into it).
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside
