When I try to play a mission in one of the newer versions of fs2_open, it crashes before the loading screen telling me I don't have enough RAM. This is confusing, as I have 1024mb of RAM...

fs2 did that to me on my dads laptop while my system was down... he had 256mb, and it said it was out of memory, and there was also 20ish gigs left... I gave up till my system was back...

I took out some of my cool effects and it works, although it isn't as l33t.

I had virtual memory issues under some of the pre 355 interim builds. Usually happened if I had editing progs open in the background whilst modding, but it was still unusual. 355 seems happier, though

Nothing special, just Venom's high-res explosions, and some hi-res laserglows and engine glow effects.
