probably a n00b question but...
what is the difference between fs_open_3_5.exe and fs2_open_r.exe???

the only thing i can see is that fs_open_3_5.exe dosnt shinemap!

FS2_open_r.exe is 3.5.5, fs_open_3_5.exe is fsopen 3.5.0

probably a n00b question but...
"r" stands for release, "d" for debug. Other letters mean that it's a special version of FS2, such as a testing build for a certain feature. Debug builds are usually much slower than release builds, but are handy for bugfixing.
