I just came to this conclusion, I read somewhere that some people want to know the end of the Freespace storyline through a game that probly will never come out and will remane unnamed as not to ruin someone's day if you get my meaning. But I was thinking that if there was an end to the story like the shivans all die or we learn all their motives there probly wouldn't be this big of a community. seriously though, making these campaigns is our way of continuing the story on our own becuase we don't have an official one. If the game that shall remane unnamed ever came out and had an end we wouldn't be able to guess about what happens after FS2 and create our own stories. I think this community would probly not exist except for SCP.

I'm just sayin that I don't think that if that game had come out FS wouldn'y be as much fun. think about it, you play the main campagins, then you start MODing and creating your own stories based on what officialy happened. That is where the true enjoyment lies.

they could just continue it. And besides dont people make storys of the pre FS2 timeline even though they know what happens at the point of FS2?

I agree that MODability is what has made Freespace such an enjoyable game. However, I'd still like to know what [V] had planned for an ending.
