Now these are screenshots that gave me deja vu :)

Early on, shortly after the demise of Time To Stand Homepage..

2000, Somewhat tatty, but a fully functional website floating around Geocities, then Ground Freespace, THEN F2S

2001, F2S Version 2.0, launched in the new year with lots of content including Ship Database, extensive mods, etc. Picture was taken last year.

2002, F2S Version 2.5 - The lost design! This site was never released, it was scrapped and lost in a data error.

2003, built in February - The latest version, rebuilt from memory - After losing all previous content. Not bad, not excellent  - but good enough!

As you can see not much changes over the years, except our constant server problems :D Which hopefully will be done soon with another new server. WE INTEND TO STAY ALIVE.

reminds me of the Bosch monologue, where he talks about the "Nine Cities of Troy, each one built upon the remains of the other"
is HLP the latest generation ?
are we due the revenge of an angry cosmos (server crash) ?

:D

Freespace 2 Sector is a seperate site from HLP magatsu. It's the third of the big FS2 sites but has unfortunately been plagued by dodgy servers for the last year or so.

The point is valid though :) Especially if you consider the VBB as the first city :D

All the more reason I should win a Powerball lottery and setup a server system just for HLP with fiber-optic internet connection.

I have big plans, now if only I could see them through.

Freespace Watch.

In order of creation:

*Freespace Watch (Planet)
*Ross 128
*Freespace 2 Sector
*Ground Freespace
*Freespace watch becomes Volition Watch
*Hard Light Productions

HLP being the newest, 2001 (though mainly R128/and other merges formed HLP) :)

Hehe cool. I still remember before Freespace Wacth came into being, when it was still Freespace Chronicles.

Hey, while we're on the subject, what was the name of that FS1 website (before FS2 came out) that was kind of purple and white, and it was hosted by UGO I think. If anyone could remember, it would really help me out,. cause I've been trying to figure it out for a long time..

We could use some new features :) Any ideas?

As for  the forums, they will be back online soon when our new server is ready.

Also anyone, I URGE you to send us your mods. We still *have* a lot but there are loads of new ones out there and we are always needing more. Even if they are BETA mods, send em along anyway - I'll put up a beta section soon.

Actually, for a long time we wanted to merge a lot of the content from Ross 128 into HLP, but we seemed to never get around to it... we're well and truly ourselves now, with HLP 2.0 and all.

Good to see FS2 Sector still alive and kicking, Hunter. Persevere!
