OK, i need to clear some things up, and rather than PM multiple people, this would work better:

Tiara particularly:  Suddenly i'm a "****ing insensitive asshole" or whatever you called me.  now tell me why!  My first post in the thread i said

and then i ask a simple question:  when was the wedding supposed to be?
i don't see what's so "insensitive" about that?  it's a serious question?  If someone's "insensitive" for saying anything other than ":(" or "condolences" in a thread, then i really don't know.

is out of line to.  either that or you're just plain stupid.  as i said earlier, i gave my condolences, and then i asked a simple, easy, non-offensive question:  when the wedding was planned to be.

I just had a look through, and it may be the way that you phrased it hit a nerve.

My advice to everyone is to tread carefully around someone who's had a bereavement. We can sometimes act irrationally and see things that aren't there. Hell, I still do it a year and a half after losing my father very suddenly. Death affects everyone who knew the lost one either intimately or at a further distance.

To Tiara: Support TCO to the best of your ability. He needs you right now (as if you need to be told) and may or may not respond in perhaps the right way. I wish you well in the coming months with a hope that the happy event so long planned will eventually occur.

To TCO: I know that you're going to be away from here for a time, but we're all behind you. It's hard to lose someone that close to you so suddenly. I know from experience that it can leave you somewhat confused and unsure. For me personally, my whole attitude on life has completely changed and I dare say not for the better. It may be a cliched line, but remembering the good times really helps. Remember something that she did that made you laugh, or a time when she humiliated herself to an incredible degree. Dwelling on the 'what ifs' and 'maybes' will hold you in a spiral of regret and sadness from which you may never recover.

To lose someone so close and so suddenly is a very heart rending experience. All we need sometimes is a shoulder to cry on, a hug from time to time or perhaps simply someone to talk to.

Not offensive, insensitive. A Pm would have sufficed for asking a date. And even then, an expression of condolences first.

"Sorry to hear that" isn't much of a condolence, you say that for everything from an HDD crash to an act of world terrorism, it has as much meaning as 'How are you?' does to the average american.

I honestly don't know if I can express what I mean. It's more the context than anything else. In the same thread, his post was editted by Sandwich, and he re-posted, it.  I guess, after thinking about it, "I'm sorry to hear that" isn't soo bad, but like I said, It's not worth arguing about.

WELL anyway, the point of this thread was not to argue what i meant, or what was implied, or whatever.

i made this thread mainly to apologize to anyone (particularly Tiara) who thought i was being insensitive by asking wedding dates in a thread that should've been primarily about condolences.  if i offended anyone, i apologize... i meant no sarcasm/offense by asking the wedding date, and i AM sorry to hear the terrible news.
