I'd heard of it but since I don't live in the states and seeing things that are broadcast on a single cable network not available up here means that I didn't get a chance to watch it.  Fortunately, the local TV station has finally picked up season six of StarGate SG-1 as well as the first season of Jeremiah.  Being the big JMS fan that I am, I decided to watch it.

Its REALLY good.  I like the characters and story and how the two meld together.  None of them have the really annoying cliche style of character (the one who turns his/her back on everything, can't think themselves out of a box, refuses to take the right path ever) that is usually used in these types of post apocalyptic but they still seem very much part of the landscape.

Fantastic...wish I'd seen the first episode but I think this is the second one.  I even like the art direction and the music.  Its not so gritty as to believe that there is no hope left...but its sufficiently dark to give it the right feel.

Any opnions on this show?  I don't want to hear spoliers but does it play out well?

Luke Perry is wandering though a world where some years previous, a deadly virus wiped out everyone over puberty.

He goes around trying to rebuilt society while the last remaining old people, who hid out in air-tight bunkers, go around purposely reinfecting people with the virus, watching how it progresses and then burning the subjects alive to kill the virus off. And a huge black guy tags along.

Jeremiah (Luke Perry) and his younger brother were told by his father, who apparently had something to do with the virus, that he had to get to Valhalla Sector and that they'd know how to stop, cure or evade the virus. At the end of the first and only season, he finds out more than he bargained for.

It involves moderate amounts of sex. Basically, Jeremiah is like Kirk. In every episode he'll encounter some beautiful woman looking for help and/or to kill him and by the end of the ep he'll be getting a hand-job in the back of the truck him and the black guy stole from some other save-the-world luser.

In one ep they find this woman being gang-raped in a truck. It's pretty funn....err.....'disgusting'.

No. The virus died out like 15 years ago or something. It was so efficient it wiped out everyone capable of being infected and killed itself off.

Season 6 is awesome... we're about to watch the season finale here, on Thursday, and then start Season 7 immediately. Bit sad that there isn't that much of O'Neill in the later episodes, but the characters develop really well.

The internet is about free-share of information, IP banning is....BAD.
Not bad as a day when waking up on the wrong side of the bed, but bad as a day that starts with a madman yelling into your ear and ends with bumping into solid concrete fast enough for lights out. (I actually did have one such day).
