Wow. Those screenshots look great!

An Aeolus would be something like the Multibeam Frigate from Homeworld: Cataclysm. Beams everywhere ripping fighters to shreds. Forget about those flaks. I want beams only on the Aeolus!:D

Dude. Apart from them being the wrong colour, those beams kick the proverbial backside. Beta in the forseeable future is exciting news, keep it up.

Maybe cause we are spoiled with FS2 beams? Anyway this looks promising sokeep us updated! I am not interested int eh main game BUT your efforts are making me seriously consider getting HW2 retail.. What I would like t see is Relic gettin gsmart and making a better tool set. Like FRED easy drag and drop window like GUI for quick and easy mission /ship selection and total customization...  That would be such a huge boost to RTS...

  For now the best RTS for space are ArmadaII (Quickbattle) and SFCIII for just those reasons!

 Not matter what the advances made for game or graphics, unless you have the option of moddibility and customization you are doing that game a dis-service. Aside from extending the replay value immensely, you are also increasing the FUN factor!
Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide target selection !

yes thank you Setekh, ive only been playing freespace for what, 3 years, i think i know the colour of beems

It's just a test effect for the terslash beams on the deimos :P.

the hatshepsut will have its orange beems in its proper turrets dont worry :ick

Well, I think it will have to depend on which era of FreeSpace he wants to create. But if there are going to be beams, I guess it is going to be GTVA VS Shivans only.

Well, he could do it in the FS2 era and still have the mod setup with 3 races to play as.

Personally I'd rather see it as GTVA instead of GTA, PVN; that way we'd have all the ships under one race.

GTVA(Ter+Vas ships), NTF(Terran ships only), HoL (Vas ships only), and Shivans? - that would be cool. :cool:

what is that green ship int he background? A HW2 ship?

This is seriously making me consider saving up for HW2 and an entirely new CPU :D
