I hate to nitpick against you Setekh, but uh, with what your saying, why does any campaign have a forum?
Of course, I know the answer to that, so I'll answer it. Forums let you publicise and generally communitize your campaign. They also provide a spot, as FT said, for discussing stuff that would otherwise be a hassle to discuss over IM or email with a staff.
That having been said, as I've stated before, most campaigns can do fine with their own webhosting, what with swooh, VW, F2S, and whatever else being offered, but it's the forums that really 'communitize' the campaign.
I totally agree with not hosting other campaigns. HLP is simply too big. That's fine. But what's wrong with hosting new forums to include other projects in the community? AFAIk they don't take up that much space.
Is there something we're missing here?
