Oh wel... I'm gonna try something different and make an Orion MK3!

How about making a similarly proportioned and shaped vessel but with sides of the hull that are sloped by, say 30 degrees, rather than being completely vertical.  Be sure to retain the twin fighterbays and widen the aft hull to allow two more engines to be mounted in low on the hull.  Make each engine its own subsystem.  I've got other visual changes in mind, but I can't seem to put them into non-confusing words.  Good luck!
