I havn't gotten emails for topics that I'm subscribed to for at least a few hours. Is this happening to anyone else?

I haven't been getting them for about a year now - but I'm not complaining! They used to swamp my inbox and it'd take ages checking through them all before I deleted them to make sure I hadn't missed anything.

(If any admins think of correcting this, please don't - I prefer it like this! )

You can set it so you don't recieve email notifications. But I prefer it, and it's a habit.

Hmmm. Don't remember doing that. Anyway, the checkbox on the post reply page is always checked, and I don't think there's an option in the profile editing page, so I dunno.

I have it on, but you won't get any while the hlp browser is open...

No, I receive emails even when I'm browsing HLP - sometimes I get about 10 emails for a particularly active thread.  Yet, for other threads, I get no emails at all.

So it must be a bug.

It's the quick reply box - you only subscribe if you actually clic k "Post Reply"

Beat me to it. The quick reply hack doesn't go through the regular vB channels - including the thread subscription toggle.

I guess I'll have to use it more than...I rarely check my e-mail, and e-mail notices are a pain in the arse

If you don't want the notices, you can just turn off auto-subscription in your options. I did that a long time ago.

Bah.  Can this be remedied?
