Paladin Battlecruiser - redone
Love the Paladin redo, fan-damn-tastic.  I'm looking at the older model right now, and I assume the shape itself hasn't changed that much.  What I think would make it wicked cool would to add a pair of Hecate style "wings" along the main body and place several turrets on both the top and bottom.  Also add a string of smaller turrets up the top and bottom of the bow, and some more on the ledge right beside the command tower.

About the Paladin bridge bit - nice touch, but I think it should be even smaller. Reference one of my favourite craft, the Zephyrus gas miner, which also has a bridge:

And the Zephyrus is 251m long.  Scale that up and you might get 1km or so for your ship - most GTVA destroyers are 2km, but I don't know quite how long you're aiming for with a 'battlecruiser' definition.

Nope. Haven't had the time to do it.  What with work, and all this incessant snow shovelling... And school doesn't help, we're having finals now, so expect it soon, but not too soon... :blah:

Battelcruiser is 3km long in my book. And it's a big bridge with lots'a room for lots'a crew....much bigger than the Zephyrus bridge.

Truespacin' to Wierd Al Yankovich... I don't think I could do that.

You wouldn't house crew in a bridge (or for that matter put them anywhere close to an exposed position like that if you can help it) unless there was some compelling reason to keep them out of the hull itself.  Since this things primary weapons are mounted well outside of the hull, and the engines are offset from the hull, that doesn't leave much to go inside.  Anyway, I like the bridge shape but you have to do something different with those turrets.  They are a bit too big.  Ever been inside (or for that matter, near) a WWII battleship main turret?  It's big, but at the most maybe 5 meters tall.  That think looks like it's at least 50 meters tall, not counting the barrels.  Something that prominent should be more detailed.

I'm reminded that I need to upload those photos I took of the inside of a WW2 Destroyer Turret and its attendant magazine. :D

Yeah but the magazine isn't the turret now is it :D.

I've been inside a 16-inch gun turret.  It's not THAT big.

Did you know that a turret form the Iowa (3-barreld, 406mm) weighs 700 tons!!!!

I'll add more detail to the turrets...and make them a bit smaller.

I don't much care about WWII in and of itself, but it was a naval vessel and since I was in the Navy, there's a certain basic appeal.

Trashman. Don't do too much more detail. Just shrink those turrets to about 1/4th their current size--possibly more like 1/6th.

Yeah, when you pile up reinforced steel plating to a thickness of several inches, and add all of the mechanics for the turret, it's going to get pretty heavy.  After all, if the turret gets breached, you can pretty much kiss the rest of the ship goodbye.  (Do you know how much explosive ordinance was stored under those things?)  That seems low to me though, because the average main battle tank weighs in at around 70 tons, and their armor isn't NEARLY as thick as a battleship main turret.

And it all depends on whether you're going HT&L or not, but no matter how you cut it those turrets are just too large.

Basicly, I just need to slap on some turrets and convert it.
But I'm still pondering on the texturing job. And I have to re-install TS.

The new texture job looks great.  I especially like what you did with the command tower.
