Just wondering, But how do i get the New features of FRED 2 to work? And i went into freespace 2, (FS2_Open) Typed www.freespace2.com, Pressed ~ and X together and nothing happened. Yes, My Video settings were set to Open GL.

it didn't say "Cloaking toggled" or anything?  if it didn't the only thing is that you didn't type in the cheat correctly

I don't get it, I am getting the cool looking Slash screen and the 3-D Warp out effect, But no cloaking, Even if i do hold ~ and press X multible times,

But that still diden't answer my first question:How do i acess the added features of FRED 2?

Doesn't cloaking only work on OpenGL? Are you running on D3D?

Which new features of FRED 2 are you having trouble with? I have Fred_open 3.5.5 and I'm not having a particular problem with anything.

Karaken I don't see what problem you're having. If you want to use the new SEXP's you simply select them off the pop up menu same as you would with the old ones.

Hope you don't feel I'm condescending for saying this but you did download a copy of FRED2_open didn't you? You're not just using FRED 1.2 with FS2_open.

if you're on a UK keyboard layout press shift then the key to the left of one (and above tab) instead of ~.

Problem solved. I wasen't using the latest copy of the Scorce Code. (Yes. I know this post hasen't been repilied to in over a month.)

I looked at my ship. I coulden't see a thing. then i pressed ~ X again and it screwed FS2 up. I think that it was because the cloaking was not yet complete.

Hmmmmmmmm... you might want to report that in Mantis, the SCP's bug hunting 'thing' Theres a link in one of the sticky posts at the top of the SCP forum.
Just be sure and let them know what system you are using etc etc, the more detail you can give, the more likely you are to get your cloaking back
