Venom try this: Make a shortcut of FS2.exe or FS2 Launcher. Click properties on the shortcut, go into compatibility, change it to windows 98, check the box under the imput section, then start it up. I just got a new computer and that fixed the problem for me.

Make sure you're selecting compatability mode on the FS2.exe and not the Freespace2.exe Turning on compatability mode for the launcher won't help you any.

The same is true if you try FS2_open. Although this time you have to tick the "Use these settings when starting FS2 directly" box

We lowly peons are not allowed to have Avatars.  They are reserved for identifying campaign members and important forums members.  The same applies for custom rankings under your nick'.

If you really want an avatar learn to mod or FRED (my FAQ can help you take the first steps in both) and then post a message on the board saying FREDder/modder for hire. If you're even moderatly good someone will snap you up.  
If you can texture people will fight over you

well, this should be an highpoly CGI Model but i'm not in mood to finish it off:D

it has 45k Polies (45000) so far

i made it just for fun, i came from lowpoly modeling for Star Trek Armada.....well, long time ago:D
