Aside from the Darwinian irony of it all....
.....this is totally ****ing ****ed beyond ****ing belief.

I hate tards so much.

Quote
"Police are investigating the death of a baby whose family had tried to heal him with prayer. Four-month-old Caleb Nathaniel Tribble died last Friday... The baby's father, David Tribble, said the family had strong Baptist beliefs and believed in the healing power of God, but were not part of any extremist sect or cult. He said his father, John, had been trying to heal the baby by laying his hands on him and praying, according to the beliefs of the Auckland-based Liberty Christian Church, to which the family belonged... 'Just so everybody in the world knows, I don't put my faith in a cabbage or turnip or anything like that. They put their faith in herbs or vegetables. I put my faith directly in the Holy Spirit.'"

"We need not of proven medicines for we are the children of an all-powerful super-being who lives in the clouds and tells us to murder all whom do not worship him"

This is why Hitler, and the Japanese people in general, should be praised as geniuses. Wipe out all the ghey-ass religions and impose a Japanese God-Emperor system.

And as a little random piece of info on Hitler: He was posthumously baptised into the Mormon Church along with Stalin and some other genocidal nutters. At least Sadam will have someone to talk to.

What's with the japanese? They're pretty much the only ones who were never involved in religion wars and stuff... ah well.

They weren't considered to be engaging in a religious war because they believed that their leader, the Emperor, was divine and thus under his direction they lead many a little war in his name. As such they were never considered to be Holy Wars.

And the Japanese have butchered plenty of people.

I feel sorry for the kid but being born into that family of idiots the chance of him having anything worth contributing was very small.

I guess the lesson to be learned is don't call your children Caleb :D

You'd think after seeing their neighbours kid die from not going to the doctors they would have learned their lesson wouldn't you?

Yeah. They'll end up going all evil with the psychic powers they inherited from their father, the Sheriff, who raped their mother, emotionally destroyed their sister so she could only keep repeating the same single phrase over and over, and who may or may not be Satan, the fallen one.

Unfortunately I completely missed American Gothic when it was on TV. I know enough about the plot though to add another reason to the list of why you shouldn't call your kids Caleb :D

I just wondered if the name must be jinxed. I mean two families who live close to each other both have children called Caleb and then proceed to kill them off in very darwinian ways.

They re-ran it on Sky One a few weeks ago.

's a very good series. Shame it died. Good finale though.

Firstly, I resent the implacation.

Not everybody from the South is an religious idiot.  We've got our share, snake-handlers and what not, but I don't know anyone who doesn't go see a doctor when their not feeling well.  Prayer helps though.  It's just that GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES!  He's there to aid you, not do it for you.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

One day, these people'll all wipe themselves out imagining they can set themselves on fire and Jesus will put them out or something, and it will be a happy day for all mankind, or at least us Americans, as most other people don't have them running the ****ing country.

Lib: Um... you live in the South. You have no right to complain about any unpleasant generalizations people make. Even if they're not true of every last person basically any bad stereotype about Southerners is true of 90% of them. I should know.

The Catholics aren't the problem. Religious crowd, but generally not insane. It's those bloody Protestant heretics who mostly do stuff like this.
