well GE, I don't consider myself THAT bad as a texturer, and there are others at a similar level, but we are surely a bit too few.
The problem is not only (in my opinion) the lack of texturers, but also the lack of mappers with "artistic eye", I mean that to map big capships, you don't need necessarily to draw new texturers, but a lot of people just apply a general cubic uvmap and use 2 or 3 textures to map randomly the whole ship (wich isn't honestly that different to what

already did for some fs2 ships..).
I suppose that if we manage to obtain some results with some high quality level projects, showing what FSO can do, we may succesfully attract some new artists in the community.
