I suggest you Quake 3 demo as well as aldo did.
It fits all the requirements you mentioned.

 Maybe not.  But it's free... you can find more freebies here and there.

I'd consider that low end enough.

Counterstrike, if you could get half-life on all of the computers, makes a great lan party game!

Descent 2 or Half-Life.

Everybody loves HL and can run even on things that have trouble with UT.

I have to agree on UT - good for multi if you're more into plain DM and have the power.

Deus Ex - but I dunno if you can aquire it.

Than there's Descent 3 - but you'd need a P3 to run that - a real octopus game 4 arms are minimum to perfect the controls. - I don't know wheter you can purchase it somewhere but quite a few magazines used to have it bundled.

Then there's Abuse - it's 2D but the mouse aim makes the thing a lot of fun none the less - it's availible at HOTU

well, i had HL working, but attempting to install CS completely ****ed it up.
Descent, well, dunno, i think that that's played best with 6 arms, 4 joysticks, and 2 keyboards?

I never had any pbs playing any descent. played 1 and 2 with the keyboard, 3 with keyboard + mouse.
Once you get used to it, it's not any different than any FPS. the only additional controls are the two bank keys, and the afterburner.
Doesn't require 4 arms to use three more keys ( that you use only occasionaly anyway ).

Red Faction!

No, not really, just kidding.

Terminator: SkyNet might be worth a lark. Fully 3D/mouselook. AFAIK, first FPS to offer deathmatch with controllable vehicles (jeep and H/K hovercraft).

Oh yeah, I remember skynet. the Bethesda game, right?
Was quite nice, but a bit on the "very difficult" side if I remember correctly. That's only for solo, of course, irrelevant for multi.

You could play a terminator with the red filter - and even a heart tracker to look for humans (or smg. like that).
