Just got done with the geometry portion of the Deimos Redux. Not a lot different from the original except it has about 8 times the polies. Gonna zone it for 512x512 tiling textures, making variants of the original textures. Intended for the FL mod The Next Generation

Not a lot different??!? And what are those weird tubes on the bottom supposed to be?

I don't like the tubes too, and the rear could use some work
it isn't that bad anyway, and I suppose that depending by the result she could be used as a deimos variant even in fs2

If its supposed to be a remake it should be a remake with virtually the same proportions and with vastly improved surface details (you can always take some liberty when scaling up).  But I see a sister vessel and not a Deimos in what you did there.

And what ARE those tubes on the bottom? :D

Bleh...looks like you ripped up the Deimos and tried to fit it into the FL universe. I especially don't like the new bridge at the front, or the long refueling spire thingy.

Bleh, I'm sorry, but, bleh.

I have to say that it doesn't look any higher poly than the original..... except for those bizarre tube protrusion things.

Looks like you crossed an armadillo with a jellyfish, then added the deimos in as an afterthought.

I liked it. Some bump mapping and detail work would do wonders for it (the original, I mean). Right now it looks like the top is the back part of an armadillo, the bottom things are jellyfish tentacles, and the deimos, is, well, shoved in between.
