Make the cannons indented - if you can keep the streamlined profile of the thing, so much the better. The overall design is simple and classic - and shouldn't be messed with.

ok.  i added some turrets for the gunship.  this is what i came out with.

i think it would look better with triangular shivan turrets or possably octaganal turrets.

Is a turret like this more like the style u were thinking about Fozzy??



I will probably use this turret on the capship i have started for this speacies.

Also a RBC for the same species









This RBC has one beam weapon and three secondary banks of defencive weapons.

And finily a warship as well









I'm not sure what class to make the warship (Halkatan), and i don't have a name for the RBC.  anyone got some good ideas??

I had a funny feeling that people would detest the texturing.  people always do.  I will try them again.  But i won't promes that they will be any better.

would it be possible to make skins that look look like they are holy armored??  something to represent the oposite to the death black ships.

Using truespace 3.2 i can't find a uv mapping tool, but i can find a uv projection tool.  Is it the same thing??

Don't go to ZDnet. Get the version from The Ship Creation Guide in my FAQ.

TS3 doesn't have a built in UV mapper (only TS6+ does). When it comes to mapping fighter Lith is the best way to go anyway.

after nearly a week of reading and trying things in LithUnWrap i am yealding no possitive results.  would someone else like to have a go so i can see how good you think it could look??

my efforts will continue..  

also i will post some screens when i get something worth while

my main problem is that the textures i am trying to use are always too big for the job i want to use them for.  how can i make the textures smaller in LithUnWap??
