Does anyone know of any downloadable texturing FAQs/walkthroughs ?

What sort of texturing? Do you need help with making tile textures, tile texturing itself, UV Mapping, Texturing omto the UV... there are tuts for each but we need specifics if we're going to help you out..

just anythin' for noobs I suppose.
Fighters and small transport/assualt craft to begin with.

something like that, but which can be downloadable. My online time is kinda limited.

Meh, you don't want to start off by texturing fighters. Those are the hardest to do. Start off on capital ships, and work your way down, gradually.
