ookay, i'm thinking of trying out Truespace 3 ('cause it's free) and i was
wondering where i could get some easy tutorials to get started with..
particularly in the areas of startrek-style starships..

I have to agree with KT on this one.

If you get Max, and it has the tutorials included, you'll find how easy modelling can be. I only use TS for texturing and a few modelling tweaks now.

I avoid TS like the plague....
We have this understanding. I hate it, and it's useless....
I stick to Lightwave and MAX (though mostly LW)
I'll be taking some courses at either VFS or CDIS for Maya and XSI.

TS is so not easier to model in... I'm using Version 6 TS, vs Version 5 Max, and whatever I attempt to do in TS, I can do 30x faster in Max.
