a little off topic for what is usualy posted here, but none the less


still very much a wip
thw mountan is just a filler, and I need to add details around the tunnels and a few largerhorizontal supors on the main body to give it some defenition, I'm also going to make a little office/controle room type building under the main holding bay, and I plan on makeing a train getting loaded up with ore under the hopper.

oh, and ignor TS' poor atempt at volumetrics

It looks good, but fix the pb in the "L" shaped corridor on the right of the pic, in the angle, the roof won't join well.

I agree with Venom on all counts. I would like to add that the L-shaped corridor on the right nees some sort of support, as well. Cross bracing the two segments of the corridor, each to its supporting wall will suffice. Failing that, a vertical beam or three going down to the ground will do. Don't forget to put cross-members to stabilize them if you go that route though.

Oh, also, if I may: add some randomness to the supports, they're too reguilar. Randomness in both the way they're placed, and in their thickness. That would look more convincing this way

the tunnle thing on the right was added about five minutes before that render was taken, it needs a bunch of suports and stuff, it's the most unfinished part (other than the stuff I haven't started yet),
crossmembers are the next step to the main structure, also needed on the main suports

update, I think I'm gona get rid of the tunnel things outright and go with mechanical lifting bukets that go down into a shaft.
take note of the train cars, that was a project in itself

I can't get it to work. Well it does, for 10 seconds, I can see the scene and all behind the menu, then it crashes

On startup I have two weird messages, it tells me it cannot open the required COM3 port, then same for COM4
I wanna play my Railroad Tycoon Deluxe again!!!!
