hi...ok, just to save myself a little time instead of going all through this forum to find my answer, here`s the prob...I downloaded a zip file of Freespace from the-underdogs.org site on it being recommended to me by a friend who is a big fan of the game...so I unzip the file and click the fs2.part01 and it installs to a folder FS2 in the same unzipped file...so I look in my XP add/remove program and see no mention of Freespace...now I get the impression that this Freespace is running without any registry entries, etc...correct? ...next when I click the auto update it says that the fs2.exe is different and won`t update...I tried an update to 1.1 and a manual update to 1.2 and they both say something about an old file that can/cannot(?) be found...so that`s it...I`m very impressed with this game and would like to get the latest version...maybe it`s a prob from the site I downloaded it from, although this friends recommendation should have been pretty good...anybody wanna help...?
