Clarification: We have plenty here that is not found anywhere else. To recap:

• A dedicated modders forum for FreeSpace.
• Exclusive coverage on The Kenny's game, Fifth Sun.
  
• The only place to find updates on the campaigns Return to Neo-Terra and Temporal Mechanics.
  
• Information on the revolutionary program suite FreeSpace Studio, which will make FreeSpace modding much easier than it already is.
• Undocumented feature: Little tolerance for Newbie threads (eg. the classic FS3 question).

Our priority is to avoid the kind of rubbish that pervades the VBB.  We'll be accommodating, but if Hemaroid Frog Butt shows up, I will personally ban him on sight.

Pretty much all of the above.  I guess one of the problems with trying to run a tight board is you have to be a bit harder on people than you would otherwise.  But we're hoping that the people that do come here are the ones that won't be causing problems. (and I mean like being large-scale disruptive, not occasional OT posts)

Xenolith was going to work on that, and then life handed him a whole lot of extra work - his colleague's wife was involved in a car crash, and so X had to cover for the both of them. So FS Studio didn't get very far.
