I suggest you play a bit on regular FS multiplayer, while it's still there. Activity can be found mostly on saturdays (due to http://www.teamwars.com )

17" crappy monitor than usually has a cat sleeping on it
32" tv as alternate display (which i use to play games)
saitek x36 flight control system
win2k pro

only problem is, im in alaska, high pings everywhere i go. ive got more cable length to go through before i connect to any place important. im willing to host a server on a limited basis though (probibly during the 2 hours i spen every day watching m*a*s*h).
