Yeah, it looks like it's gonna be a better "28 days later"

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
lol, I knew I was gonna get that :)  Was meant more for sarcasm than anything.  I was saying that cuz the end of Resident Evil kinda reminds me of 28 days later.  She wakes up in a deserted hospital and goes outside to see that a riot must have happened and the city is now deserted.

Yeah, 28 days later was a good movie.  Just wasn't what I expected.  It just seemed two movies in one, when it suddenly changed to having to deal with a crazy military.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
28 Days Later was incredible, not to side track the thread (to late) but I loved it. Res Evil on the other hand was mediocre - there wasn't anything really wrong with it but it took a rather odd angle on things while 28 Days stayed planted firmly in the real world - the only thing you had to take for granted being the existance of the virus - rage. Res Evil on the other hand had a massive underground Black Mesa type facility that nobody knows about even though it's directly below a civilian area. You also had to go for AI and lasers that dice people before you could get into it. Granted some things are necessary - it all just seemed rather far fetched.

I digress, having looked at the trailer it could be good - although all the footage seems to be from the original movie (aside from the "advert"). Who knows, a city wide blood fest could be a laugh though.

Yeah, but you have to understand resident evil was based off a video game, so you can't really compare the two.  Plus, they were completly different stories (except for the zombies).  I only made the comparison b/c the 2nd Resident Evil seems like it's going to be like 28 days later: a lone person waking up in a deserted hospital, having to fend off zombie-like people in an empty city.

28 days later's story was incredible.  I just didn't expect the direction if was gonna take when it met up with the military.

I liked the Radical Alternate Ending a lot better.

Well, Resident Evil came out like 2 years before 28 Days later, and the sequel is taking place immediately after the end of the 1st movie.  Which ended with her standing amongst the ruins of the city, all alone in her hospital gown.

So maybe 28 Days later was an idea stolen from the ending of that movie.  *shrug*  Don't know, don't care.

FFS, have you never seen the Omega Man? When I first saw the 28 Days trailer I thought it was a remake...

Never heard of that movie, diamond.  But, seeing that every possible story line has been done by now, I can imagine something similar been done.

Heheheh... Omega Man... Never liked that movie. And I too Kick ass for the lord!!!! I liked 28 Days Later. It was good and entertaining. Resident Evil on the other hand stole all its ideas from other films, and was way too "Marketty" like, "Kids love guns, and they also love zombies, and they listen to rock... so, lets have a swat team shoot lots of guns at zombies with rock music! Yeaaah! But these kids are gonne be 10-15 so we can't gross them out..." Pfft. Meh... PJ Did it right with BT and BD, 28 days later did it right in the other spectrum.

The only good part in the movie was pritty much the beggining and when the swat team goes inside for the first time, they open the door and its pitch black. THAT was effective, cause it made it scaawy and creepy. But when they turned the lights on, it got all cheesy. Oh well.

*Awaits movie about Silent Hill*
I have returned... Again...

Omega Man's a classic. Starts with a guy roaring about a city in a stolen sports car. He's behaving like he's in a GTA game but then it clicks - there's no-one else around. He's all alone. And suddenly the sun is about to go down and he's desperate to get off the streets...

Eventually he meets up with Pam Grier and there's much zombie killage
