:D:yes:

Like to see some more angles of the second one - the tail fin thingies look kind of strange from that angle. :)

I have to agree with Pyro, the whole rear end looks a bit odd, the engine area (assuming the bit that goes of the screen to be said area) looks now SW in my opinion, it needs to be more bulky with posibly a seperate section for the housing.

Good work mind and real like the freighter and front end of the frigate, very old republic black fleet Dreadnought style, Nice!

Looks much nicer with the specular lighting turned down and a bit of smoothing.

pyro, comic, it might look odd but its accurate to the few pics that exist. I'd didnt design it, just modelled it.

btw the ship is a modified old republic dreadnaught. As for it not looking very star wars I think it has a fair bit in common design wise with the Neb frigate.

there wasn't smoothing at all in the render, my fault.
and for being starwarsy, well from the non canon ships I consider she one of the most coherent with the starwars style.
She is a modification to another ship, so it has an incomplete/patchwork look. In this sense, she reminds me for example the second death star.

To be honest, despite I am a staff member, I have not seen these ships before. :).

I mean the models, of course I have already known these ships before while playing XWA and of course Rebellion :D

"Diseased" is the word I'd have used.

Give it a soft shinemap and it could look even better.

AH! Now I see...

I wasn't saying I didn't like it, btw - just that the angle of that shot made it hard to tell what the shape of it was. I like it a lot. :)

SERIOUSLY...! | {The Sandvich Bar} - Rhino-FS2 Tutorial | CapShip Turret Upgrade | The Complete FS2 Ship List | System Background Package

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

The Assault Frigate always was my favorite SW ship... although it was in Rebellion!

It will be mostly a shipset, focused on the canon trilogy. The esact period will depend by mission designers, we'll release only few campaigns, the rest will depend by the community

Oh.... Well, if it is just a shipset, any chance of seeing ships from the books like Yuzzhan Vong, the Hapans, the Ssi-Ruuvi, or the new fighters like the K-Wing, E-Wing, TIE Avenger, etc?
