Hokay, so I have my fourth species as I'm sure is well known by now. Now, I've got two fighters I'm testing at the mo. One displays my bodged-together thrusters (bascially re-coloured Shivan thrusters from the Lightspeed pack) while the other does not. The second fighter only shows the thruster subobject with the red Shivan flame ani - but really really faintly.

It's all very odd. The model seems other wise fine. I tested it using the table from the working fighter, and no joy. I thought I had it when I realised the model had 'engines' and the table and PCS engine glow thingy had 'engine', but that didn't do it either.

So I'm baffled. Both models use thruster01a for the subobject name, and thruster03 as the default texture. Why does one model pick up the new thursters and not the other?

Its a known bug.

Any ship that is NOT DEFAULT loadout in a mission (i.e. you changed it in briefing) will look like this. Only default-mission ships will have correctly displayed thrusters.

Um. But these are enemy fighters. I'm using the usual one on one type test mission.

I think we fixed the non-default ship thruster bug, is it in the most recent build?

the non-default ship bug is not fixed. I'm using the latest build.

The two could very easily be related. The only way to check is to fix the first reported bug :)

I won't report this one as a bug because it could be a model problem. But unless an expert looks at it I won't know

well as I recall the bug had something to do with the change ship type function wich gets used in the ship selection thingy

Double fix0rated to the max!

The offending fighter was number 131 in the ships table. I know you guys bumped the limit, but it may be some other code is using the old limit of 130?
