SpaceDock station - Beta
Here is a straight forward conversion of the BC stock model of Spacedock. It has no weapons (yet) and the actual size I'm still researching. So many different sources saying different things.

I couldn't help it. I had to convert that thing because it looks like my favorite dru......   'er , um....    Mario powerup!!! =)

Sorry for the stock low res textures. I'm still not done creating UBER textures for her. It will be far better than this generic map.

Poly Count - 4300 Polys  (needs more, will get more)
Textures are in DDS format.

I just realized something funny. The Sovereign somehow got inside but will never get out now. The doors are too small!!! LOL
So much for trusting DITL.org for measurements. Expect an update soon.

one thing though, when your done with making textures, make sure you make a shinemap too. it is really showing that the windows have the same reflection as the hull

Starbases aren't prefabs. They're built to spec by Federation engineers so they're all different sizes depending on projected traffic.

Personally, I'd work from the TNG ep with the Bynars in, as that seemed the most commonly used scaling.

I never realized how big it was til I saw it in that other thread.  That thing is huuuuge.  And purdy!!!  I wish my computer was working so I can see it in game :(

In retail Trek I have to leave it teh way Ludi set it cause if not the increase insize starts to make problems...

  IE  when attacking it there is NO EFFECT, like you fall through the textures, no collision.
  Also on teh inside all of a sudden the texture for treh interior ring dissapears and you have a huge honking ring shaped hle inthe Star base.. really wierd stuff...

  Hvae you had any of these problems on making your SB large enough for your ships to get in and out of (assuming they are as large as mine are scaled to be MUCh bigger than fighters/shuttles)?

Wierd problem. Could be either the model itself.... or the FS2 engine...

I had a similar problem whith some of my first capships... check the model and see if there are large faces (that have more faces than a square). If it's not triangulated, maby that wil help...at least on the more troublesome surfaces.
