In case you don't know what I'm talking about. Here's a link to Tiara's photo gallery of some members of HLP. (linky)

The last couple of days I've been writing, testing, and tearing hair out making a newer version that should be on a faster, on a faster server, and can be updated much easier.

Cosmetics aren't that great since I just throw it together and I'm using notepad (hell in a computer box for coding php and html it is). But I'll try to add as I go.

I'll be adding the pictures and comments from Tiara's shortly and if you want YOUR pic added please post it here with some sorta comment. Though I think it would be better if someone did that for you.

What's the questionable legality? Its just a cheesy web photo gallery script.

Not here, I mean in terms of Data Protection and IPR. You gotta make sure the photos you use, have been cleared by the people who posted them, to be used in your new gallery.

Dear god don't include that one!

Seriously, the easiest way to handle getting people's permission to have their photos in the gallery is to make them upload them to the gallery themselves. You disclaim responsibility for the content, enforce some content rules, and they pic the photo they want to have online.

Of course it would all be better if this was run as an HLP project, so you could link the gallery entries to the person's profile. That way only they can change the picture.

I was thinking along those lines. My plan is to ask the admins for some sql stuff so part of the user's profile is on my host (like username, password, and ID #). But if they don't want me to do then I'll ask if it can be part of the HLP site and intergrated into the forums.
