If you're using ANY OTHER modeling app, other than Truspace, and it saves in a format you have probs with in Truspace, you might want to try Lithunwrap for conversion to .cob format. Do a search for it, there's some websites which still have it.

K. That's all good info to file away about Truespace and such. But I'll just be happy to get the game and become lost in playing the missions and getting into the story for a while. I won't sweat finding the hotu file i need. Mebbe it won't be too long before my full game comes in and I'll just modify it with what I got to have some good clean action. But they shouldn't call it FREEspace if I have to pay for it anyway. Fifty-dollarspace mebbe. Yah.

the apollo is your user title, most users have standard titles, changing when their postcounts rise. some "special" people have custom titles, set by the admins. mine is because i converted the SCP FAQ to the wiki, and because i'm still a wiki fan. the special title "banned" is not something to be aiming for though.

Kara, I was looking thru reviews for space -strategy- games and came upon FS2 by chance. I thought it would be a nice change of pace from MMRPGs. It came out about the same time I was getting into Everquest, and I didn't play ANYTHING else for a while. EQ players know what I mean heh. I did foray off into Anarchy Online, Neverwinter Knights, and a lil bit of Morrowind later on, but lately decided I wanted a change of pace, from fantasy stuff. Space and Sci-Fi used to be my main interest, so I'm kinda getting back to my roots. I also like galaxy builder games , like MOO2. I wanted something to empire build with, but saw how great FS2 was, and got hooked. Saw it had been re-released like, the day before too. WOOT! I -almost- bought a used one from Amazon before I saw that heh. I read all the puter game mags for years and think I remember good reviews for it. I might have even got it back then despite Evercrack, but was prolly broke alla time then, if I remember right.

Zoot zoot! Heh. BTW, about 6 years ago I had the distinct honor of meeting and talking with JMS at a convention. Taped some lectures and interviews of him. He's damn brilliant, and as a HUGE B5 fan (B5 or B Jive!) it was fun to bask in his glow for 3 days. I'll never forget it. Got to meet some Star Trek writers and other luminaries as well. This ole spacedog was spittin' in HIGH cotton, fer dayum sure. Woohoo!

Freespace 2 re-issue just arrived at door!

Yippee-ki-ay and YEEHAH! This here is the ole space cowboy Zeke, lettin' yall know the 20th Anniversary edition of FS2 just came to my door and I gonna be SPARKIN' WITH `LECTRICICAL NOW FER SURE WOOHOO! I can't wait to play this thang and to get my X45 HOTAS profiled up good and do that there open source razzle-dazzle with it to make it all purtah and mebbe even do away with disk-swapping, from what I hear... Ya hear that Kara and the rest of yas? It's HERE!!! I sure hope flying the ships and whompin' the bad guys ain't the ***-buster B5:IFH turned out to be. Ouch! I done gave up on my hiney survivin' that thang.
