Just for the hell of it: the worlds smallest polictical quiz

Libertarians are self-governors in both personal and economic matters. They believe government's only purpose is to protect people from coercion and violence. They value individual responsibility, and tolerate economic and social diversity.
Your Personal Self-Government Score is 80%.
Your Economic Self-Government Score is 60%.

Not surprised. :D

Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

According to your answers, your political philosophy is on the border of left-liberal and libertarian.

For some of the questions they should have clarifications, such as the degree in which you believe the selected item.

However, for a short test on people's viewpoints in how they would be categorized in US politics, I can see why they chose these questions this way.

I was unsure of the spelling, but google reassured me I could be right. that means a lot of germans can't spell.

Authoritarians want government to advance society and individuals through expert central planning. They often doubt whether self-government is practical. Left-authoritarians are also called socialists, while fascists are right-authoritarians.

Libertarian, very near the border of liberal, on the first one.

And about the same on the second, getting -3.25 on the Liberal/Conservative scale, and -3.69 on the Libertarian/Authoritarian scale.

Interestingly enough, this falls right about where I thought I did.

hmm, haven't had alot of conservative results, even from people who I would have thought to be dyed in the wool Republicans (or whatever the equivalent is in your country, unless you live in Sweden, in which case there is no equivalent :D:D )

This either means the test is innacurate, portraying people as more left-wing then they really are, or there just aren't as many conservatives as various Conservative groups would have us believe. Or something.

Its intersting though that Liberterians share many beliefs with Conservatives (I mean the real kind, not the neocons), such as minimal government involvement in people's affairs and so forth.

conservatives are mere louder, more offenseive, and more bigoted -- therefore more memorable.  Conservative groups take advantage of this and try and trick people into subscribing to conservative groupthink

Naw. True conservatives are just that... conservative on the government level. Hence the close relationship to libertarians--like me.

Some things to consider would be computer literacy and the other demographics for those able to take this test. I'd also say that as Beowulf pointed out, most actual conservatives would in this test have their views probably expressed as moderate libretarians. (Barring the modern Calvinists who consider themselves "conservative")
