Fianlly it is done! (still doens't have insignia and glows...I don't know how to put them in, but who cares!)

The zip below contains the Phoenix POF, textures, generic shield ani, and 2 weapons!

As you can see, there is a small screw-up with the wings on the Phoenix insignia..But after re-doing the model 10 times over, I aint going to do it again!
Ignore the model in the target window..there is a better one there now..

All of the time I've been here on HLp, I don't remember getting nothing but scorn from you...And I really don't know why..

Could be you don't like the design, but your critics are seldom constructive...
The design is very practical actually, and if you look at today's fighters, every one has his own ID code/number written on it somewhere...
The insignia is well lit, so it's a bit more flashy than usual..

Please don't take my criticisms to heart, I like the way you churn these things out. I just don't find much to like in the end product bar the premise. I'd prefer it if you went slower, and if you focused on quality rather than quantity. You have some good ideas, just to me they never seem to get past the WIP stage. So, I guess that's another reason I rarely sound constructive - you've already got the right ideas, just the implementation isn't there. And, since I don't use Truespace or 3DS Max, I can't help all that much with the implementation. Exceptions are when I can illustrate changes using Lightwave, for instance in that Orion thread I made some modifications to a model of yours I had on my HD.

I don't quite focus on quantity, it's just that sometimes I really get in the modding mood and can do much. The Phoenix is my FIRST truly textured fighter (I mean, the first texture I made!), and I'm more than proud of the end result.

Beeing that I'm the only DOTA modeler you can only guess how many ships I make (not to mention the modding I do for other games...It's a miracle I can do anyhing at all).

Well..the fact is, you can never please everyone... You might not like the finishing product, some people will. The same holds true for any model you make.

You have every right not to like my ship(s). Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder...

The ID is obnoxiously long. Almost as obnoxious as the five insignias. Otherwise it's sort of neat.

The insignia on the noce can be fixed by editing the texture in photoshop...

And the insigna is just well lit..Look at the insignia on the very top of the picture...It's not lit and you can see that it's coloured right.
