slight upgrade to the Oden, (not a mark 2) just better geometry, all it needs is a bit of texture work, if the geometry seems inefishent, I did that so FSO's lighting model would work better.
the turrets probly need to be moved a bit too.

dropping the "collar" around the engines and keeping only the thrusters themselves would really improve the look of things, imo.

maybe, that's actualy in there largly to defend the engines from atack, also you'd expect some sort of sheilding between the engines and the rest of the ship. that back section could still use a lot of work, I barely touched it. could also use some more secondary suports in the middle section

honestly, I can't see how that would stop enemy attacks. from the front, ok, but that's it. It's just ugly, and, imagining the shot the most on the bottom of the pic, w/o it, well, I really thnk it'd lok cool. but well, voila.

it would prevent atacks from the sides (capships/beams) look at the side vview.

and it probly looks bad becase it's the largest untextured section, but, I'm not doing anymore, if who ever want's to work on it wants it gone, I'm fine with it
