[Unknown Target]

I'm playing thru Halo on the PC, on Heroic, and I can't get past the Index level! Can anybody give me ideas/save games?

Keep Moving, backtrack if you have to... Shotgun... Assault Rifle.. Frags...use nothing else unles you're out of ammo... thats about all there is to it..

You're nuts. The instant you try to stand up to a wave of those things is the instant you die. As soon as you see them coming, start backpeadling. If you're surrounded, blast a hole through them and get some distance.

huh? the flood will keep spawning untill you are in view of thier spawn points. the more u back up the more keep coming. It sounds instane, but the fastest and best way is to charge forward.

I played it on Legendary. quite tough. The index is which part again? Where to go up those 3 levels to the main thing right?

If it is, the only advise I can give is grenade, grenade, grenade. Those frag grenades are your best friend against the flood. Then use Assault rifle first before switching to shotgun - unload the ammo and get rid of the tiny flood that flood you, then waste your shotgun ammo on the bigger guys. Hint - throwing a plasma grenade on those small flood things is NOT a good thing!!

No, they stop coming after a bit... doesnt matter where you are...

No, he means the bit where you select single, multi-play, options.......

Most of the Flood have at least some kind of weapon, when you're getting rushed by a horde focus on clearing out specific groups and locations with the best guns so you don't run out so quickly.

And yeah, keep running. Duck around corners whenever you're pretty sure there aren't any nasty explodey carriers about, they're much easier to deal with if they're only coming from one direction and in tighter groupings. Don't expect those drones to do anything more than provide a distraction.

i use the spore things as a sort of secondary grenade if there are a bunch of little bastards around.  Its not really hard, just repetitive

Get it on Xbox and play co-op.

The infection forms (tiny little bastards) can be ignored if you have shields, they don't touch them, however if you shieldless and one gets you, kiss it goodbye.

Also, play it on legendary, it's the only mans way to do it.

Legendary rocked. It only took me two hours or so to beat. the hardest part was the spot where you get locked in the room with the two 'shoulders' for cover and the flood pour out of the tubes.

Grenades are your friend, use them more to flank, rather than directly attack.
