Since I've been putting up the various FS1 & 2 Cutscenes in avi format over the last couple of weeks I thought I'd make a bit of a larger announcement about having put up hallfight for download so that no one misses it this time

Hallfight is one of the best cutscenes in the entire series. It is also the only time we ever get to see the shivans in person.

watched the hallfight - not as emotionally engaging as the intro, but hell yeah its a good fight!

Kept getting bits and pieces in the middle where it would be speeding up a bit too much. A little glitch perhaps?

Last I looked in Fractux's FTP it was empty of AVIs

Yeah I was thinking of putting back up the .avi files from FS2, but I wasn't sure if I should. If I do that, then do I just leave up the vp files as well??

And with the interplay release going on, I'm in a hard place.

The last thing i need is to get pinned for "pirating". With HOTU removing their download as well, I thought this may be the safest thing to do for now.

There are always alternatives though.

Oh yeah, just to clarify, all the FS1 .avi's and all FS1 port files are up on the server, it's just the FS2 .avi's and VP's that are gone.

But ever since that one topic, where (I think it was) Stryke pointed out the sumo-shivan in the background, I can't help but look at it EVERY TIME

I didn't realise the FS1 avi's were still up I'll rotate through the FS2 cutscenes then. Since it will probably take me a couple of months to go through them all at the rate of one a week I doubt that I'll get complained at for piracy.

It's up to you but I do think it's somewhat more of a risk than what I'm doing.  I'm only gonna put the movies up one at a time and I'll stop if I get complained at

A big FTP full of the FS2 movies does look a lot more dodgy than a fan sharing a single movie at a time.

The FS2 cutscenes, except for the first and last ones, are hardly worth putting up for download... I mean, they're nice, but I think they're a huge waste of render-time. They could have delivered something like that with stills and the same voice acting, and had some more scenes like Hall Fight instead. Then again, it is quite an artistic addition to the game, which is a refreshing change... bah, what can I say, I love it all.

I really liked the FS2 scenes. Especially that shot of the dead Orion still in orbit.

Is it just me who sees some similarity in shape of the white Shivan claws to the Covenant's energy swords in Halo?
