There is only one important question:

Do I pilot my ship like Freelancer, or direct it like Homeworld?

Doesn't really resemble either, but piloting is more like Freelancer really. It's all on a 2D plane, though a bit of 3d, for the sake of fighters and ships passing over each other.

It can be very tactical, usually is. Although newbies tend to use all hte team's resources

The game is based off planet resources now and buildable shipyards. Which is why the MV is better than GA
