I have a NEC ND1300A

you may want to check pioneer's site - either panasonic or pioneer have a couple DVD-5 drives out that will be able to be updated to DVD-9 support via a free firmware upgrade they're going to supply

(DVD-5 = single player 4.38GB, DVD-9 = full "comcerical" disk size two layers)

they're coming out later this month and they'll start in the full $300 range


those DVD-5's that can be updated into DVD-9s are selling between $100 and $150 .. though i forget which manufacturer and models
