no secondary weapons
i have a confusing event aswell theres a group of ships but there coming in different waves. nows here the difficult bit i want a message to come up after there all destroyed or departed saying 25%,50%,75% or 100% of the ships have gotten through

There is no SEXP for percentage-ships-departed or destroyed (There are seperate SEXP's for each though).

What sort of numbers are we talking about here? If we're talking about 80 fighters and bomber you've got a problem but if you're talking about 15-20 or less ships you might be able to do it this way.

What you do is specify a variable and add to it every time a ship leaves or is destroyed. That would use a lot of SEXP's though (you can cut down the number of events depending on how your arrival events are timed though.)  You can then check the percentage of ships gone against that variable

i.e
when
->
--New Variable
--9
-Send message

will trigger when 50% of a 20 ship fleet have either been destroyed or departed.

Now that you've mentioned this a percentage-ships-departed or destroyed SEXP sounds like a good addition.
