I have no table in my data\tables folder, but yet I still hack them??
or it says I do, but then I goes and starts to play anyway

do you have any mods selected in the launcher?

do you have a HOTU version?

do you have any VP's containing LS's effects?

Have you moved the table files to anywhere within the Games/Freespace2/ directory tree. FS2 tends to pick them up no matter where they are in there

Your best bet is to move the to a completely different directory on your hard drive

That's probally it, because I keep mods in the Main Freespace directory

NEVER keep mods in the main dir, always make mod dirs or multiple FS dirs.

Well I would have something like Freespace2\Port or Freespace2\TBP, but know I have FSMODS\Port and ect.

The old way should have worked too. That's exactly what I do. You must have had a rogue table somewhere.

Freespace (IIRC) checks in the main directory first for files, so that would've caused problems.

but I didn't have the tables in the main directory, I had the in folders in the main directory
