Some neato screenies here from what looks like a beta version of FS1--even some shots of Shivan craft with their original (and ugly) green color scheme.

Other then the green, its a normal fs1 shot... remember, fs1 can't run in 1024x768... so you get stuck with 800x600, hence everything looks bigger... The monitor window, is like that because there was a bug in FRED1.0 that if you used the checkbox for Escort ship in the MISC window, FS1(1.0) would sometimes put in extra lines... It was fixed in FRED1.4, which was included in the 1.4 upgrade... The only way to prevent it completely in <1.4 missions, was to use the escort ship events...


Hm... I'm interested in how they got that planet in the background... The background editor is locked down tight now..

I certainly don't remember the monitoring bit having those gaps.

the standard resolutions are 640x480 and 1024x786. No 800x600 at all.

I, for one, like the green shivan colouring scheme. :)

Yes but they sucked, because on his versions EVERYTHING was green - which is inaccurate if you look at the original concepts.

@venom: want to make improved shivan HT&L ships that look like the cool concept sketches textured with the original colour scheme? ;7
