I think it's supposed to be like that, so it can turn slowly around it's center of thrust.  It's only large course changes that make it bat around.  The Hapshetsut is the same way if you look at it.  Anyway, changing it would break the missions.

The base images are made with Paint, but all the little details (like the engine exhaust and beam glows) are hand-made with PSP7.  Then I just copy and modify the base image, adding detail. The Herc2 took ~15 minutes, Sobek only 10. Try it, it's fun!

They're actually pretty funny and not too hard to do, but it's much easier to make them a little bit polished and clean than MS Paint rubble. I think I'll make some other ones, but adding two ships moving is A BIT hard. So guess it's just beams and fighters for now.

Ps. I'm currently trying to compile all these pics into FS History.ani.
