are you serious?  I loved Face Off, MI:2 and the Hostage (BMW movie).  I never saw Paycheck, was it that bad?

Paycheck was pretty good--if you never read the original story.
That said, I can't imagine this movie being at all well done. I can't think of a single video-game-to-movie transition that's resulted in anything other than a bad, overly long music video, or absolute cheese.

Hey, don't knock all video game movies.  I really liked Wing Commander... then again, I think I was the only one.

I liked that movie by Chris Roberts--but someone screwed up and called it 'Wing Commander'. Kind of odd that.

I've done my best over the years to block out all memory of the Mario Brother's movie. Thank's Bob, for re-exposing me to some of my worst childhood trauma.

Chris Roberts totally F-ed up the wing commander movie

I'm sure he spent more on kilrathi costumes for the first disk of WC3 than he did in all of the WC Movie

He also tried combining the plot of several of the games, added that stupid "pilgrims" subplot, etc

Subplot? The Pilgrims set up the entire plot. That's why I think he was making another movie and decided to put the WC name on it for recognition.

the Kilrathi to are patently Wing Commander, so is Admiral Tolwyn, the names of the ships (all though their design is wrong, and the Bengal Strike Carrier Tiger's Claw was destroyed well before the keel of the Confederation Dreadnaught Concordia was laid, or even it's main weapon the Phase Transit Cannon designed)

the character names are patently wing commander to - (later) Commodore Christopher Blair aka "The Heart of the Tiger", etc

However, you can't tell me the the furless rubber skinned aliens were ever Kzi--er, Kilrathi.

Man, he just made a generic space combat movie and put Wing Commander names on it. Ta da! Instant "Wing Commander" movie.

Yeah, Metroid movie... mixed feelings about that. I'd love to see it but I can imagine it far better as an adult's movie rather than for the standard Gameboy-toting kids.
