Because geographically they're in an area where everybody hates them. Kind of hard to find any regional tournies to compete in when your neighbours want your blood

And there are only two true sports, basketball and soccer. Soccer becuase it is played and accepted by most of the world (also my favourite sport) and basketball cause thats the one sport Yugoslavia kicks ass at. And its also fun.

OMG enough with the "wtf is Israel doing in the euro league?!?!?!111" you wanted to complain you should have done it 30 years ago... they have been in it for long enough to have won the championship in 1977, 1981, 2001 and now again in 2004.
