But at least in a debate there are two people to argue the point.

What, you mean in real debates or in political debates between candidates?

And Moore, for all his faults, does not make stuff up. He may twist it, but its all well grounded in fact. He's a satirist, not a scholar, so his primary job is split between entertaining and engaging the audience, and presenting an arguement.

Remind me again, isn't Drudge the site that posted that photo of Kerry and Fonda to discredit the guy ? Way to find an 'unbiased' source.
This isn't one of those special F*L*A*S*H pages on Drudge's site... it's a link to someone else's blog - someone who is neither a conservative nor a fan of the Bush administration.  Did you even follow the link?

The blog has been updated since then, so the posting has moved down.  Look for "Lies And Moore Lies [Updated]".

Again, FOLLOW THE LINK before prejudging it.

It's not the blogger's opinion -- he was linking to a news article:

If the production cost was only $6 million, why didn't Moore himself pick up the tab? He has to have that much sitting around, considering how succesful his books and movies are? I mean, six million is not a lot of money, an independent investor could easily come up with that much, and profits are practically guaranteed.

Errrrr- what's the difference ? Even if it isn't written by grudge's staff, i really doubt that they're going to link to someone who disagree with their usual leaning.
On another point : It's sure that Mikey waited before Cannes' festival, it's a sure way for him to get coverage. But how is this different from **** waiting after the 9/11 to reveal his plan for Irak ? Not the same thing, but the same hypocrisy nonetheless. It just happens that one only deals with a film, where the other deals with thousands of lifes...

The thing about Micheal Moore is that he is one of those people who actually thinks that Republicans have nothing better to do with there time than stay up at night thinking about ways to ship more jobs oversees, ruin America, and opress people.

I liked Bowling for Columbine a great deal, but somewhere toward the end it stopped being about Americans being scared by the media, and obsessed with violence and more about corporate greed and welfare.  Like there was some OBVIOUs connection that I just wasn't seeing.  I was actually rather offended that he could imply that the issue is so complicated and give me such a watered down answer.

Oh, and Disney blocking the project is them expressing their own right to free speech, if Moore wants to find some kind of connection between big oil and (just) Republicans there are plenty of outlets who live off of that stuff.

They don't.  There's too much profit in oppression and outsourcing.  This is why democrats run for 8 years, it takes that long to clean up 4 years of Republican malice.

It's all about the dollar, everything else is secondary (Enron, anyone?)
