Just finished playing the fs2 campaign on my new comp . One thing I will probably never understand is why [V] decided to destroy the Colossus ingame. Lets just say I don't like the word powerless.... control is good!!, to an extent . I just thought I'd do this as a tribute...

You nailed it on the head, right there in your post: the Colossus only existed to make you feel some basic GTVA pride. Finally, the GTVA is prepared to open up a six-pack of whup-ass and show the Shivans how hairless monkeys can wage war.

And then along comes a Sathanas and shows the hairless monkeys that they need to stop trying to play with the big boys and go home to their mommies.

In short, the Colossus died to make you feel powerless.

I love that font. Good concept, though perhaps a replay in FSO with some gratutious Lightspeedage for the background might be in order?

if they wanted you too feel some pride from it they should have had it rip apart a few shivan destryers like tisue paper first, nont of this, none of this "oh my god a cain! ah! it's shooting at me! it burns!!!"

That's why I kept suggesting that someone does a Colossus takes on the NTF campaign/mini-campaign.

The Colossus and it's battle group stomped through the NTF systems in a way the GTVA hadn't been able to do for 18 months.
