Yeah, that's one really bad sound. But it's verry diffcult to find a better sound for that.

Perhaps I should learn how to create sounds. That might be the faster way...

IMO, I enjoyed those pieces. It was a nice change from the usual electronic music. And it brought more mood into the missions.


I got tired of the buttons sounds (like in the tech room, briefing, etc.) and the missile locking on sounds quickly.

Well, once I know what kind of sound support is going to be in FSO, I am certainly going to have a go at redoing some of the main Freespace sounds, and I'm pretty sure there are a few other people who are going to lay into them as well

I hate the "whizh whizh whizh" sounds that enemy ships' shields make when hit. Oh, and also the hull-hit sound, which sounds as if you're firing pillows at the enemy ship instead of Maxim slugs. I much prefer the nice, powerful "THUNK" made when weapons hit the hulls of ships in TBP.

I hate the sounds of the shivan Fighters, too.

I thought the Kayser sound was pretty annoying. It sounds too much like a nerf gun or something.
