problem with standby mode
When I put my computer on standby or hibernate I get a blue error screen when it wakes up. The screen doesn't last very long the only thing I managed to see was IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

Wow...so close to mine:

Athlon XP 2700+
ATI Radeon 9700Pro
Win XP Home
Antec 330W Truepower

Weee...

I don't use sleep or standby modes.  I never trusted them.  Sorry I can't be of much help.  Just thought it was funny how close the systems were.

Disable them. They're more trouble than they're worth.
Go to the power management options, you can shut them off there.

so basically, they don't work and don't use them.

I use hibernate for my PC. It's much better IMO. I usually get that blue screen often when my HD is changed by something. Really annoying. Sometimes all I can do is reformat and pray all goes well.

I used hibernate all the time before M$ removed it in sp4.  Its great to turn on your PC and it boot straight into the last project you had started.

Yeah, standby and hibernation are little devils. There's no end of trouble with them, and I know because I am working at a product support and we have a big client whose WinXP computers we are supporting.

Have you tried searching Microsoft's Knowledge base with the IRQL string?  Type in that not less or equal string into your search, I believe there are a few articles on it on how to correct it, or if they just admit that it's a bug, which probably wont be squashed.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL is something of a generic stop message, but usually stems from a driver problem. The full error message will hopefully tell you more. Turn off XP's 'auto-restart on blue screen': Control Panel -> System -> Advanced, click on the Start-up and Recovery Settings button, uncheck "Automatically restart". It should give more information, usually a .sys filename for the driver causing the problem.

Otherwise, the usual: have you installed the lastest nvidia motherboard drivers and any relevant windows updates?
