its probally because I used Infranveiw to covert the images to 256 colors

Update:  Ok, redid all textures they are all Hi-Res and I promise they have new features.  I carefully did everything but now I'm stuck I don't know how to save the image in 256 colors in photoshop??? Can anybody help me???

Link updated:  Most recent maps, everything should be fixed and better, especially the lighting I went through.  They are resized and yes they are also detailed, I just wanted to make that clear

Tumrambar - yours looks excactly like the original except not so blurry. And your telling me to use a brush  Lightspeed gave me some tips and I'l fix it later (the blurry and make it way smoother )

OK, i think i might take a liscence with the Orion maps and make the modern while trying to keep the same idea.  Right now it remainds me of a 70s era scifi Asimov book cover (second foundation i think) and i want to see what i can do with windows and less colorful lights and things.  Well see what happens...

These lights are way to bright.
I know, it's fun, but it's newbie-ish. Remember it will be flat in the game. That will make it look weird...
Also, you lowest lightsource will be cut-off again.(Tile problem)



BTW which tool do you use for this ?

Yes, I look at it in-game horribly bright indeed.
